The Equestro jumping saddle pad with Onion Quilting is a jumping saddle pad in breathable technical material, with a round stitching structure and a shock-absorbing filling. It was developed for jumping riders who want to support their horse during intensive work, with a raised wither cut-out for a correct fit and freedom of movement under the saddle.
About this saddle pad
The Equestro Onion saddle pad from the FW25 line owes its name to the Onion Quilting pattern: a round stitching structure that runs across the whole pad. That pattern does more than look good. Because the filling is fixed in round compartments, it cannot shift or bunch up. On a pad where the filling does wander, thicker and thinner zones appear under the saddle, and that is exactly where you risk pressure spots. The round quilting keeps the padding evenly where it belongs.
The outside consists of high-quality technical textile that provides good ventilation. Heat and sweat are carried away efficiently, which counts most during intensive jumping sessions and at competitions, when your horse does a lot of work in a short time. A back that stays drier also keeps working more comfortably.
The fit is anatomical, with a raised wither cut-out. That cut-out holds the pad away from the spine and helps limit pressure on the backbone, while freedom of movement is maintained. Underneath sits a shock-absorbing filling: soft but resilient, cushioning on every jump and so helping to reduce the load on the back. For jumping work, where each landing brings a peak load again, that is the difference from an ordinary flat quilted pad. The finish stays understated, with a subtle Equestro logo.
