Wool is a living material that adapts to your body temperature. In warm temperatures, moisture and body heat are absorbed by the wool and carried away from the body. In colder temperatures, heat is retained by the millions of microscopic air pockets naturally found in wool. Even when wet (absorbs 30% of its weight in moisture), the wool will keep you warm. A nice side effect is that the wool is naturally odor-resistant.
The wool used by Ivanhoe is the wool from Europe, real wool from real sheep. The lambswool is soft but also a fragile fabric, a mix with 20% polyamide makes it stronger, more stable and longer to wear. A newer even thinner boiled lambswool in the mix of 80% lambswool, 18% polyamide and 2% lycra is a thoughtful combination designed by the professional clothing makers. The fine and extra fine merino wool is a wool that is nice and soft and can be worn directly on the skin. The unique merino knit is balanced and designed for optimal comfort.
Ivanhoe of Sweden is a family business which was founded in 1946 in Gällstad. The district known as the knitting center of Sweden. Several generations of experience and professional competence ensure ever newer developments in the field of basic and functional clothing. Classic materials such as wool and cotton can always be found in the Invanhoe collection. In addition, new blends, treatments and knitting and weaving techniques are also emerging.
See the video below for the maintenance of your wool clothing. The clothes do not need to be washed often. Hang the garment in the fresh air for a while and the clothes will quickly revive and feel clean and fresh. When washing, pay close attention to the washing instructions in the side seam. Most items from Ivanhoe can be washed in the washing machine with the wool program of 30 ° C. with a hand wash, wash gently and rub gently.
Not only will your garment last longer if you treat it as mentioned above, you also help nature by airing your clothes more and washing less.
Please note clothing may be fitted but not worn. We cannot take back items that have been worn!
